From the Author:Fellow Students: A Collection of Aggie Poetry came from a love for Texas A&M University and a love for the written word. Started as a project in my graduate program, I asked I simple question: "Could the Aggie experience be better explained through the richness of poetry?" While I still believe that it is difficult to understand the internalized pride of being a current or Former Student at Texas A&M University, I think that we must be able to communicate this devotion and our reasons for it. Poetry doesn't succeed, but it comes close to the mark. These poems represent my personal experience at A&M. Another writer would write a very different story. It isn't that one is truer than the other. Texas A&M can be many things to many people. For me, it was a home, an incubator, and a catapult. As the string is cut this May, these poems are my way to say, "Good-bye."
