What Is Operation Blackout at Texas A&M?
Operation Blackout is Texas A&M's designated blackout game, where the entire fanbase wears black to turn Kyle Field into one unified, all-black stadium. The team wears all-black alternate uniforms with script Aggies helmets. When everyone does their part, Kyle Field looks completely different from any other home game, and the atmosphere backs it up.
This year's Texas A&M blackout game is November 14 against the Tennessee Volunteers. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. or later. All black. Every Aggie. Kyle Field goes dark.

Saturday, November 14, 2026. Tennessee at Kyle Field. Kickoff no earlier than 2:30 p.m.
This is the third straight season the Aggies have hosted an Operation Blackout game under head coach Mike Elko. They've won the first two, and it hasn't been close.
What Is the Texas A&M Blackout Game Record Under Mike Elko?
Undefeated. Two games, two wins, both convincing.
A 38-23 win over No. 8 LSU in 2024. A 31-9 blowout over Mississippi State in 2025. Both SEC opponents. Both at Kyle Field. The blackout works, and at this point that's not a coincidence.
November 14 is the third chance to keep the streak going. Tennessee is next.
What Do Fans Wear to the Texas A&M Blackout Game?
Black. Head to toe if you can manage it.
This isn't one of those games with a complicated color scheme. Black shirt, black hat, black everything. The more committed the fanbase, the better the effect. If you're sitting in the stands and someone next to you is wearing maroon, that's a missed opportunity.
